Several Beazer Divisions have been actively involved in spearheading shelter projects in the past few years. Employees have dedicated their time and expertise to housing service projects and Beazer's partners have also contributed resources to help local Chapters. Beazer recently assisted HomeAid chapters with projects in Dallas, Sacramento, Northern Virginia and Las Vegas.
Ian McCarthy, Beazer's President and CEO, acts as Chairman of HomeAid America's National Advisory Board.
"I am extremely proud of our Beazer team and their generosity throughout the year and especially in special projects," says Mr. McCarthy. "We feel fortunate as a company to be able to share our resources with those individuals who need them, and we continue to join our hands and hearts to build hope with HomeAid."

HomeAid America - Dallas Chapter
Some women and children have never known how it feels to be safe at home. According to an April 2001 edition of the Metro Southwest News, "Many women and children in southwest Dallas County who need help because of family violence or sexual abuse have nowhere close to home to find refuge." Now they do.Because of the concern and compassion exhibited in the partnership of three organizations - Brighter Tomorrows, HomeAid Dallas, and Beazer Homes - these mothers and their children will have the opportunity to live in a caring environment and establish a better life. Beazer Homes of Dallas provided the leadership and supervision necessary to build this new shelter for the Brighter Tomorrows program. Together, Beazer Homes and its trade partners contributed over 70 percent of the project costs associated with the new shelter, which will now offer a secure, supervised environment for up to 13 women and 25 children, and a time to learn, heal and grow. Computer training and life skills classes are offered at the shelter, skills that lead to an employment rate of approximately 75% at the time women leave the shelter.. Read More...
The Alternative House Emergency Shelter for Teens
HomeAid America - Northern Virginia Chapter
Beazer Homes Virginia was proud to lead the renovation and construction of the Alternative House in Vienna in 2001. This center is a short-term residential program and crisis intervention center for 13 to 17 year olds that serves over 250 teans annually. The construction project added an additional 2,200 square feet to the facility, enhancing its living and counseling capabilities.
The Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House - Nashville, TN
Phillips Builders has been an active supporter of the Ronald McDonald House for over five years by donating money from their "Spring Showcase of Homes" to the House every year. The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home-away-from-home" for families whose children are in one of Nashville's area hospitals undergoing treatment for serious illness or injury. The money raised goes to help pay for families who cannot afford the minimal cost of their stay while at the House.
